Rarely referred to by its formal name, Af’kir is more commonly known as The Land of the Ancients. This long, narrow, curved continent was home to some of the oldest civilizations on Jhordunne: the reptilian Ch’kari in Ankre Ssaln, the Aôlerian in Toriath, and the Chthonic Empire in what is now called Chthonia. Finally, there is Maelgrimme, filled with fearsome beasts and said to be home to the last of the Dragons.

Toriath

With its fertile valleys, dense forests, and stunning mountains, Toriath is a beauty to behold, and is the home of the Aelferii (once the Aôlerian) on Jhordunne. In Aôleric, Toriath means the “land of the cradle”. The Aôlerian settled there after they left Ankre Ssaln and the Nashalan jungles.

Ankre SSaln

Ancestral home of the Ch’kari. Once a great empire, spanning the globe, the Ch’kari now hide in their crumbling cities, within impenetrable jungles.

Chthonia

The center of a once-massive Chthonic Empire, Chthonia now lies in ruins. Small kingdoms squabble over what remains of the empire, each claiming to be its rightful heir – even two centuries after its fall.

Maelgrimme

Maelgrimme is a dangerous and foreboding place. Filled with deadly plants and beasts, the land is no place for the weak. It is said that the last of the Dragons reside in mountains at the center of Maelgrimme, although no one living can confirm this.
